Welcome to "Schloss Roßdorf".The castle is located in the middle of the village of Roßdorf, one of the oldest villages in Thuringia. In 780, 'Rosthorphe' was mentioned for the first time in a donation to the monastery of Fulda. Located in the huge nature reserve ́Biosphere Reserve Rhön ́, a previously unknown and undiscovered area. "The land of open distances", as it is called in Thuringia. Far away from the big holiday regions, where silence is still quiet and the Middle Ages can be felt everywhere.From the castle, the possibilities for excursions are almost unlimited:All seasons offer you something special. Experience the snow in winter, discover the emerging nature in spring, taste the culture in summer and explore the countryside in autumn. Hiking, cycling, horseback riding, cross-country skiing ..... everything is possible.
