The Danish flag flies in the North Sea breeze, the sun shines on the large terrace with wind protection and fresh fish - perhaps even caught by yourself - sizzles on the barbecue.
During the day, you can battle the wild waves of the North Sea or learn to windsurf on the fjord. You will hike through the beautiful, flat nature of Jutland and see various animal and plant species that you have never seen anywhere else.
In the summer months, you can prepare your meals in the outdoor kitchen.
In the evening, snuggle up on one of the sofas in the living room and listen to the gentle crackling of the firewood.
The small village of Stauning with Stauning Strand and Stauning Havn on Ringkobing Fjord is only 7 km from Skjern and guarantees a tranquil holiday in very quiet holiday home areas.
The harbour was only built in 1937 and is now mainly used by recreational skippers.
At the edge of the idyllic harbour basin are the old fishermen's huts, which are all listed buildings and are one of the most popular photo motifs on the fjord.
In the town itself there is a supermarket, galleries, the old church from 1150 and one of the top attractions at Stauning Airport is the aircraft museum.
Be sure to visit the WOW Park in Skjern and the Viking harbour in Bork.
