For those who love water, this house is a paradise. This recently renovated, red painted holiday home is located on a small promontory by the lake Höljeryds dam, near Långaryd in Småland and the three sides are surrounded by water. The only neighbour lives on the other side of the pond. A small rowing boat is at your disposal. The first floor is decorated with bright colours and has high ceilings. Also the house is situated near the lakes Jällunden and Stora Färgen. Visit the Store Mosse National Park or High Chaparral. You can do shopping in Ullared or can visit the zoo in Borås. Good berries and mushrooms are available in these areas. It is not possible to go fishing in the creek situated in front of the house, the next fishing spots are the lakes Holmsjön and Fegensjön which are located 1.5 km away. There are 3 bikes available for you. The bike trail Hylteslingan passes through the neighbourhood. Also explore the hiking trail Jälluntoftaleden or Brunssbackaleden in Unnrayd. There is also a local history museum. According to the owner, the house by the lake Höljeryds dam was used as the accommodation for fishing and crab breeding. Minor renovations were made retaining the antique style. The paintings adoring the walls in the house depict the area during the 30s.

    “Das Haus liegt sehr schön an einem angestauten Bach mit viel Platz und wenig Lärm; die wenig befahrene Straße liegt ca. 100m entfernt. Mit dem Boot kann man den kleinen Stausee befahren; ein Fahrrad steht ebenfalls zur Verfügung. Das geräumige Gebäude ist teilrenoviert und im oberen Stock recht hell und modern eingerichtet. Im EG befindet sich jedoch noch größtenteils die alte Einrichtung mit z. T. über 50 Jahre alten Möbeln, die nicht nur mit dem Geschirr für den Alltag , sondern auch mit viel unnützem "alten Kram" vollgestellt sind. (Es fehlt der Platz für die eigenen Sachen) Das Wasser schmeckt nach Metall, sodass wir zum Trinken und Kochen extra welches in Flaschen gekauft haben. Nur sehr begrenzt funktioniert das Bad mit WC: die Wasserleitung tropft, Metall- und Wasserflecken haben die alte Badewanne, Waschbecken und WC so stark angegriffen, dass sie nicht mehr sauber zu kriegen sind; wer sich traut, zu duschen, erlebt eine Überschwemmung. Auch die Küche ist nicht komfortabel eingerichtet; es fehlt ein "normaler Herd" (zwei alte Kochplatten und ein alter Backofen sind vorhanden) Es riecht etwas muffig und staubig; also nichts für Allergiker!
