Three holiday apartments on a former farmstead with a shared pool, in a rural location on the edge of the Falaise area


These three holiday apartments are on a two-hectare plot of land on the edge of an area called Falaise, in a charming little village. The former farmstead with several buildings from the year 1800 has been restored by the owners, who live in the main house, with attention to detail. This has resulted in three individual holiday apartments, with an accomplished mixture of tradition and modernity giving them a special charm.

The three apartments share the garden with a heated pool with a shower, so you can enjoy a refreshing splash of cool water from above. Sun loungers are provided by the pool. You can also be table tennis.

The village is small, but just a short distance from the farm you can find a bar and a grocery shop where you can buy fresh bread and baguette. There are other shops and restaurants six kilometres away. You can go on beautiful walks on the paths around the village or go cycling. The old village houses, the castle and the church are worth seeing.

Holiday apartment with a terrace

This separate holiday apartment is on the first floor of the main house. It is accessed via external stone stairs. Traditional materials and a modern design have been combined knowledgeably. The 70m² of living space can accommodate six people comfortably. There is a living and dining room. The modern, separate, built-in kitchen is fully-equipped. The bathroom has a bath and shower. The WC is separate. The big parents‘ bedroom provides ample space, a comfortable double bed and a supplementary single bed, as well as a sitting area with a TV and a washroom. The second bedroom has two single beds (90cm wide) and a TV. There is also a single bedroom. Bookworms will be delighted with the library in the hallway that leads to the bedrooms. A cot and a highchair can be provided free of charge on request.

In front of the house, at ground level, there is a furnished sitting area with a grill, where you can enjoy breakfast, grill in the evenings or sit and relax together and enjoy a glass of wine.

    “Had an amazing family holiday here. The location was great with plenty to do just a short drive away. Supermarkets in the next town easy to get to. Lots of local restaurants and cafes to visit. Property was beautiful, very small and compact but we were aware of this when we booked. Everything we needed was there. Beds very comfy and plenty of seating by the lovely pool. Positiv: Beautiful location. Property small but with everything we needed and spotlessly clean. Very helpful host who let us know about local markets in the area and things going on. Thank you Martine. Negativ: The geese and roosters can be a little vocal in the mornings, but we didn't mind this.”

    “Een erg knus en compleet huis. Het is precies groot genoeg voor 2 volwassenen en een kind. Voor wie tot rust wil komen een grandioze plek. De woning is van alle gemakken voorzien, en het bijbehorende zwembad (met eventueel afsluitbaar dak) is erg fijn. De spa is logischerwijs tegen een kleine vergoeding bij te boeken. Het is 's ochtends heerlijk wakker worden in een prachtige omgeving, met alleen het geluid van een kraaiende haan. Mocht je 's nachts wakker worden, geniet dan even van een waanzinnige sterrenhemel. Nogmaals het huis is compleet, schoon, prima gelegen en bovenal de gastdame en gastheer zijn erg vriendelijk en behulpzaam! Een echte aanrader en een plek om naar terug te gaan.”

    “Heerlijk ruim huis op een prachtig domein, van alle gemakken voorzien. Leuke inrichting, netjes en schoon. Lieve en behulpzame eigenaars die zich niet opdringen, maar er voor je zijn als je ze nodig hebt: voor tips, hulp of gewoon een gezellig praatje. Fijn (bijna privé)zwembad, zowel bij goed als slecht weer. Wees wel voorbereid op rondlopende kippen en gekukel van hanen. Wij hebben het fantastisch gehad!”

    “Wir hatten einen wunderbaren Urlaub in der Normandie. Die Vermieter waren total nett und hilfsbereit. Das Haus war sehr sauber und riesig groß, so das wir mit zwei Erwachsenen und drei Kindern (9, 14 und 17 Jahre) genug Platz hatten. Das Außengelände war wunderschön angelegt und der Pool war der Hit, selbst bei Regenwetter konnte man mit dem Dach schwimmen. Es gab Hühner und Gänse und ein Pferd und ein Esel auf der angrenzende Weide, zudem gab es einen Bouleplatz und ein Federballspielfeld und eine Tischtennisplatte, also alles, was man mit drei Jungs so braucht! Unsere Kinder waren jeden Tag schwimmen. Die Entfernung zum nächsten Strand war nicht so weit, ca. eine halbe Stunde mit dem Auto. Der Strand und der Ort waren auch total nett. Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder und bedanken uns sehr herzlich bei den Vermietern. Wir haben einen sehr schönen und erholsamen Urlaub erlebt.”
