Location
The house
Melis is a fabulous country villa located in a very pretty peaceful part of the countryside. There are wonderful views all around of fields and trees. Shops and cafés are close by in the traditional little village of Alqueria Blanca about 4 km / 5-minute drive away and 10 minutes to the small village of Cas Concos, with a few local shops and restaurants. Approx. 8 km. away you reach the beautiful Natural Park Mondragó with different itineraries to enjoy the nature and also the 3 beautiful sandy beaches, S’Amarador, Font de N’Alís and Caló des Burgit. Santanyi is about 5 km away and offers a typical market, many shops, restaurants, cafeterias and some art galleries. The well-know tourist resort Cala D’Or with many restaurants, shops and several sandy coves and a pretty marina is 12 km. away.
The main house is full of wonderful spaces with luxury in every room. There is a fabulous double-height lounge and hall. The lounge is an amazing space with views on three sides of fields and trees. The fantastic kitchen-diner with an island workstation has a long dining table and chairs. This floor offers a twin bedroom that has been designed to be fully wheelchair-accessible -there is a ramp to access the main house and this bedroom-. This bedroom counts with wide doors, adapted en suite shower-room and access to the outside. There is also a guest toilett and a laundry room. On the first floor there are two bedrooms, each with its own terrace. One has an antique Mallorcan double bed and a luxurious bathroom with a bath and a separated shower. This bedroom has access to a partially covered terrace with wonderful views over the surrounding countryside, the town of Santanyí and the coast at the far end. The twin bedroom has a great en-suite shower bathroom and access a terrace with lovely country views. From this terrace a stairs leads down to the garden area.
Guesthouses
They are located next to the house, overlooking the garden.
The first one has twin beds, en suite shower room and access to the outside with a private terrace overlooking the garden with a table and chairs; a great spot to relax and enjoy the peace of the area. There are four steps down to enter this bedroom.
The second guesthouse is an open plan bedroom/bathroom with antique furniture, a four-poster double bed and wardrobe. It has also access to the outside, to a private terrace overlooking the garden.

The outside
The outside is wonderful; a great place to enjoy the the country views and the peace of the area. There is a Mediterranean garden with rose bushes, lavender, rosemary as well as palm trees and carob trees. There is also a lawned area by the pool with sun beds. Melis has two pools, both with saltwater; a swimming pool with Roman steps (16m x 4.5m, Depth min 1m - max 1.7m) and a long splash pool-child pool with Roman steps (10m x 1.8m, Depth 0.4m throughout). Overlooking the pool, there is a covered terrace with a complete outdoor kitchen with a barbecue, a hob, a fridge and a sink; perfect to enjoy delicious “al fresco” meals. Gated driveway and place to park several cars.
Bed linen, towels for the house, tea towels, the final cleaning and other costs (electricity, water, gas) are included in the price.
The first cot and highchair are included in the price.
