This restored half-timbered house from 1643 is located separately on the former, large farm of the owner and is part of an intact village community. Inside, the loving, period furnishings create a rural living ambience. At the same time, vacationers will find all the amenities that one can no longer do without in this day and age. After prior consultation with the landlord, the nostalgic fireplace and the historic kitchen stove can be heated. If necessary, gastronomic catering is possible in the hotel across the street.

The suspension railroad takes you from Thale (30 km) up to the Hexentanzplatz, a fabulous plateau at 454 m above sea level. Also located there is the Bergtheater Thale, an old natural theater with 1,350 seats. Take a day trip to Quedlinburg (31 km). Stroll there on bumpy cobblestones through the picturesque alleys and enjoy the unique atmosphere of the medieval town, which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

From the narrow-gauge railroad, experience the romantic Selketal valley, whose original landscape is characterized by rugged cliffs, flowering meadows, picturesque ponds and extensive beech and oak forests. This valley can also be hiked along the Selketalstieg trail. Visitors to the Albertine leisure park in Harzgerode (7 km) can enjoy a swimming pool, a giant slide, an adventure pool with a counter-current channel, a splash shower and a water mushroom, a paddling pool, a miniature golf course and a beach volleyball court.

    “Das Ferienhaus ist sehr gemütlich, urig und sauber. Die Lage ist super zentral. Parkplatz ist vor dem Haus vorhanden. Der Mietpreis an Novasol ist nicht ganz günstig. Für eine Woche haben wir 519,00 € bezahlt. Zusätzlich kamen die Nebenkosten von 10,00 € Strom, 25,00 € Endreinigung dazu - ist ok. Was ich nicht ganz in Ordnung finde ist die meines Erachtens zu hohe Heizkostenabrechnung von 115,00 € - wir waren den ganzen Tag unterwegs, hatten die Heizung auf Stufe 1 und haben am Abend das Wohnzimmer mit dem Holzofen geheizt. Wir sind selber Hausbesitzer mit einer Gasheizung, aber diese Kosten sind einfach zu hoch. Außerdem sollte mit dem Mieter in der Wohnung der Zählerstand bei Ankunft abgelesen werden. Habe selber nicht daran gedacht, da ich der Annahme war der Mietpreis ist inklusive der Nebenkosten(Heizung, Strom, Wasser) - Man konnte also nicht nachrechnen. Man musste die Berechnung des Vermieters hinnehmen. Der Wasserverbrauch von 4 m³ ist auch sehr hoch gewesen (20,00 €), aber wir hatte ja keinen Zählerstand. Insgesamt hatten wir noch Nebenkosten von 170,00 € - viel zu hoch.
    Fazit: Denkt bitte daran, wenn ihr ankommt, die Zählerstande abschreiben.”
